Mmmm
I think the train is currently packed 200% if not more. I wonder if I could snap the comp that I have or if I could die of suffocation here.

Work
It has been a while... Sorry about that.
I have been working at Roche for a week now. yeah exactly one week.
So many things have happened! and I cant really be bothered describing the details.
but I tell you it has been GOOD!
In summary,
Day 1: First day at work, I met all the other grad kids. It was weird! they were so nice. It didnt feel like I just met them for the first time. Maybe twitter helped. Turns out 4 girls, 6 boys. not 5 and 5. The three girls are really nice. Ceremony in the morning. We met the CEO and other executives from each department (it has 4 departments). We all had to make a speech. it was really nerve breaking. The rest of the day, we just had inductions. the HR person that takes care of us was really nice. all the grad kids went out for a few drinks afterwards.
Lunch was provided
Saturday (April 2nd)
I went out drinking with the grad kids, and had fair bit to drink. I found out that you could get really drunk if you drink heaps even if the alcohol level is really low... I threw up when I got home. I havent thrown up after drinks for AGES!
Day 2: Another day of induction. Learned about the code of conduct to be a employee here. also how to use the computer. We still use XP... and I named my computer as "grandpa". He has been a trouble maker. I couldnt log on using wireless. Lunch was provided.
Day 3: Induction Day 3.
Learned about how you could get promoted. I learned that from the graduate position, you need to be promoted 17 steps to be a CEO of the company. I wonder if its possible to get promoted 17 steps in a year. I think that would be justified enough to come back to Australia. Also learned about harassment, compliance and what not... oh oh! There also is a really strict manner involdving the elevator. We, grad kids, have to get on and off at last and have to hold the door open for others to go out/get in. It is so difficult. I am also tempted to just use stairs. the training occurs at 4th floor. But im getting used to the elevator manner. So hopefully I will master the mannerism. Lunch was not provided
Day 4: Induction Day 4
Dont remember what i did. Maybe the explanation about benefits. apparently we get discount for some hotels and sports gyms. and DISNEYLAND! woohoooo. yay yay.
Day 5: today I did health check and english test.
I am expected to get 100% on that test... mmmm pressure :S
because we were bored between health check and the test, we got rather silly. HR guy couldnt care less tho, which was disappointing.
Anyway, tomorrow is business manner training. Now time to learn Japanese business manner.
Japan is getting really pretty. I cannot wait to take my camera for a walk for picture taking this weekend. I have not experienced this season for the past 8 years... Looking forward to it.
Im doing well. I miss playing netball tho.. I really do..
Miss you
Ku and Ku xx
